Coronavirus: 55 Cops among 106 Test Positive, Total 1289

SRINAGAR, May 18 (Agencies): J&K recorded 106 new cases of COVID19 on Monday, 55 of them police
personnel, five doctors and eight patients.
Dr S Saleem Khan, in-charge COVID19 at Government Medical College Srinagar said 83 samples were tested positive for COVID19 at CD hospital laboratory.
While giving details, he said among 83 new cases 55 are from DPL Anantnag, 8 patients from SMHS Hospital, 3 ENT doctors of SMHS Hospital, 1 doctor of Government Dental College Srinagar, 1 doctor of SKIMS MCH Bemina, 2 from Anantnag, 2 from Srinagar (travelers from Delhi), 1 Patient admitted in LD Hospital from Bandipora, 2 Jammu, 1 Ganderbal, 1 Kulgam, 1 Handwara, 1 Pulwama,1 Doda, 1 Banihal, 1 Kishtwar and 1 Kathua.
Dr Khan said 750 samples had been tested at the lab in CD Hospital on Monday of which 83 samples were positive.
At SKIMS, five samples tested positive today out of 1498 tested. Regarding those who tested positive at SKIMS lab include three from Kupwara, one each from Srinagar and Shopian districts.
Eleven other samples were confirmed at army’s Command Hospital Udhampur and include 10 from Kulgam and one resident of Udhampur district, sources said. The two others are from Rajouri and their samples were confirmed at GMC Jammu.
As of now, J&K has reported 1289 cases, 665 are Active Positive, 609 have recovered and 15 have died. More than 111368 people have been kept under surveillance.
