KISHTWAR, Jan 28: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Angrez Singh Rana, convened a public grievances redressal camp at village Sigdi of District Kishtwar and listened to public issues at their door steps.
Block Development Council Chairperson Mughalmaidan, Shareefa Begum, ADDC Kishtwar Mohd. Hanief Malik, Joint Director Planning, Mohd Iqbal, SDM Chatroo Inderjeet Parihar, Assistant Commissioner Development, Kishore Singh Katoch, XEN PWD(R&B) Kishtwar, XEN Hydraulic Kishtwar, XEN PMGSY, XEN REW Kishtwar, CMO Kishtwar, CAHO Kishtwar, DSHO Kishtwar. AD Fisheries, BDO Mughalmaidan, BMO Chatroo, Dy.DEO besides others officers, Sarpanches, Panches, Senior Citizens, scores of locals remained present during the grievances redressal camp.
BDC Chairman Mughalmaidan raised various issues and demands including upgradation of High School Sigdi to Higher Secondary School Sigdi, making the PHC Sigdi Operational, augmentation of transformers in the Sigdi area, all Water Supply Schemes to be made functional at an earliest, improvement of the conditions of roads, providing of GAS connections under Ujwala scheme to all the eligible beneficiaries, marriage assistance to deserving girls under SMAS, demanded improvement in transport and communication facilities, besides she also highlighted other welfare and developmental issues comprising of 5 Panchayts of Sigdi area.
During the interactions various Sarpanchs, Panches, Senior Citizens and scores of people of the area also raised their grievances /demands including scarcity of water in entire Sigdi area, demands opening of primary school at Geeriyan (Malwar) and Zabkul, reconstruction of dilapidated Dundwar Pull, augmentation of 63KV to 100KV, separation of 11KV feeder and laying of transmission line from grid station Dadpeth to Sigdi area demands for exploring the tourism potential, Extension Food Counter at Shanmohalla, Hathikhaw and Nanzala, opening of cutting and tailoring centre at Sigdi, installation of mobile tower at Balana, repair renovation of Primary School Nanzala, lack of Doctor’s in Health, ISM, Animal and Sheep husbandry, demanded uninterrupted power supply, pending MGNREGA material payments of the year 2017-18 & 2018-19 besides other issues/demands.
DDC gave a patient hearing to their genuine demands/ issues and on the spot directions were given to the concerned officers for early redressal of the public grievances.
Regarding upgradation of HS sigdi to the status of HSS, and opening of school at Geeriyan (Malwar) and Zabkul, Dy. CEO Kishtwar was directed to submit the feasibility report of the same.
DDC informed that under Jal Jeevan Mission JJM -Har Ghar Jal Se Nal three blocks viz. Drabshalla, Trigam,Thakrie has been selected under Phase-I with an aim to provide 100% tapped drinking water to all the households.
DDC asked PRIs to extend full support and co-operation in the preparation of village level plan under JJM including each and every household, besides in ensuing census of 2021.
To made Sub-Centre Hospital Sigdi functional, DDC Kishtwar personally visit the spot along with officers and directed XEN PWD to provide the water connectivity on priority.
Over the issue of bad conditions of PMGSY roads, XEN PMGSY was directed to improve the condition of the roads, besides ensure to serve the notices to concerned contractors who failed to complete the alloted works.
Regarding opening of Extension Food Counter at Shanmohalla and Nanzala, DDC informed that the report has been submited to Director FCS&CA Jammu for approval.
Transport Department was directed to fix the fare rate of commercial vehicles plying on all the blacktopped roads in the area and subsequently paste the fare rate list on the commercial vehicles for the convenience of the commuters.
SDM Chatroo and PDD department was directed to implement the order on “no use of boilers/heaters and heavy electric appliances” in letter and spirit to overcome unscheduled power cuts and overload on transformers.
He instructed the sapranches to made Data base of all the 21 departments alloted to them, in the form of a directory for their own conveniance besides asked them to monitor all the developmental works and check the punctuality of employees posted in their respective panchayts and subsequently submit the same report to the District administration.
To aquaint the farmers about all the farmers centric scheme, DDC directed the heads of all key departments to conduct awareness camps and that should be made routine excercise, and date of the awareness programme shall be circulated among all for advance information.
DDC directed all the Officers/ officials to be stationed at their respective place of postings and work diligently, whole heartedly for the welfare of the poor rural masses and redress their grievances/sufferings.
Meanwhile, As a part of celebration of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) Week in the district, DDC also felicitated the mothers of Fully immunized girl child by distributing gifts among them and urged upon all the participants to save and educate the girl child. The gifts for them was arranged by Health department Kishtwar.
DDC along with officers and other concerned planted a sapling of Deodar tree in the premises of High School Sigdi.
DDC also made a visit to Trout Rearing Centre Sigdi, wherat Ad Fisheries apprised the DDC that construction work of desilting chamber and two pairs of American type race way has been completed, DDC directed the AD Fisheries to complete the rest work within the stipulated time frame.
He further, urged upon the people of Sigdi area to maintain peace, communal harmony and brotherhood and asked them to unitedly participate in development works.
The people of Sigdi area hailed and expressed satisfaction towards DDC Kishtwar for holding maiden public Darbar at Sigdi area, besides the locals thanked him for his ardent endeavor to conduct regular public outreach programme for mitigating the sufferings of rural masses at their door steps.
