JAMMU, Jun 26:A large number of prominent citizens from Jammu joined United Democratic Alliance (UDA) in a programme held at New Rehari Office here.

Rajiv Mahajan Spokesperson, on this occasion, said that UDA with each passing day garnered support as more and more people are joining it in Jammu as they have realized that their interests, the interests of the UT and that of the nation can only be safeguarded by UDA.
“The programmes and policies of UDA in the J&K UT have made it clear to the people that they should strengthen this party,” he said.
The people in Jammu want to defeat the pro-Pak and anti-national forces and hence they are coming into the UDA fold.
Prominent among those who joined UDA included Kulbir Singh Slathia, Gajan Singh Khajuria, Bharat Bhushan Gupta, Rajinder Gupta, Vipan Singh Wazir, Varinder Singh Billawria, Rajeev Lutra, Pawan Gupta.
All the members criticised the working of BJP in J&K, BJP is providing scholarships to kins of terrorists in Kashmir for appeasing terrorists and their families.
In the meeting Mahajan said that BJP is more loyal to terrorists and their kins instead of nationalists, so we decided to form this United Democratic Alliance (UDA) in Jammu and Kashmir to save the nationalist forces in J&K.
“Government must give scholarships to children of soldiers who have laid down their lives for the nation. But the J & K government is giving scholarships to children of terrorists. This can’t be tolerated,” he said.
“This government policy has enraged families of martyrs and veterans all over the country. They see this policy as an ultimate insult to the martyrs, who sacrificed their lives while fighting against Pakistan sponsored terrorism,” Mahajan said.
“Govt is rubbing salt on the wounds of martyrs’ families by appeasing terrorists,” he said and added, “Indian soldiers are laying down their lives. Instead of thinking about them, the government is giving incentives to terrorists and their families. This is ridiculous.”
He lashed out at the UT administration and demanded immediate cancellation of the policy of giving scholarships to children of slain terrorists.
Rajiv Mahajan also appealed to the people of J&K to join United Democratic Alliance (UDA) in large for your and for your children’s future in J&K.
