Army bridge gap between hearts of public

POONCH, Feb 9: To win the heart of people, the Army in 1998 started Sadhbhavana a goodwill programme, with an objective to bridge the gap between the ‘Jawan and Awam ‘ at present over 500 projects of Sadhbhavana are underway in various development sectors Jammu and Kashmir.
Army has undertaken a large number of military civic action programmes aimed at “Winning hearts and Mind” of the people in the area affected by terrorism and insurgency. These civic actions include a wide range of activities across the entire spectrum of development and demonstrate the humane face of the soldiers.
Indian Army organised an event on “Bridging the Gap between Hearts’ at Govt Degree College, Mandi, which included projected the helping hand of Indian Army. A patriotic movie was screened for the students.
Organizing such event by Indian Army in remote regions of Poonch District further strengthened the motto of “Jawan Aur Awam Hai Muqam”. A total of 60 students and 03 teachers attended the programme.
