AMHSS celebrates Republic Day

JAMMU, Jan 24: The 71st Republic Day was celebrated by the staff and students of Alexander Memorial Higher Secondary School (AMHSS), Jammu in the school campus.
The programme began with unfurling of the National Flag by the Principal, Esther William and singing of the National Anthem by all present.
Various students threw light on the historical importance of this National Day both in prospect and retrospect. The school choir presented some patriotic songs in their melodious tune befitting the occasion. The principal spoke about the meaning, importance and various attributes of India becoming a democratic republic. Noor-ul-Huda and Priya Arora of class 9th delivered short but stirring speeches throwing light on the historical importance of the Republic Day. The vote of thanks was presented by S.K. Munshi, School Coordinator.
