RAMBAN, Jun 25: Sub-Division Administration Gool organized a comprehensive Public Grievance Redressal Camp at Panchayat Ind, with the aim of strengthening public outreach, ensuring effective governance, and addressing the issues and developmental demands of local residents at their doorstep.
The camp was presided over by Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Gool Imtiaz . The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of locals, including men, women, senior citizens, youth, and Ex PRI members from Panchayat Ind and adjoining areas.
The programme was attended by Tehsildar Gool Harjeet Singh, Naib Tehsildar Ind Shabir Ahmed, and all other sub divisional level officers and all other concerned departments.
Officers and officials from various line departments attended the camp to listen to public grievances and provide on-the-spot redressal of genuine issues.
During the camp, locals highlighted various issues and demands related to road connectivity, drinking water supply, power supply, healthcare facilities, education, ration under NFSA, MGNREGA works, old age pension, and other public welfare schemes. People also raised issues concerning irrigation, street lighting, and maintenance of link roads.
The SDM patiently listened to the grievances and issues raised by the public. He directed the concerned officers to resolve genuine grievances on priority as per rules and submit action-taken reports within the stipulated time frame. He emphasized that immediate steps should be taken for issues that can be resolved at the sub-division level, while matters requiring approval from higher authorities would be forwarded with proper recommendations.
Speaking on the occasion, the SDM said that grievance redressal camps play a vital role in bridging the gap between administration and citizens. He reiterated the commitment of District Administration Ramban and Sub-Division Administration Gool to transparent, responsive, and people-centric governance. He urged the public to actively participate in such outreach programmes and bring forward genuine issues for early resolution.
The officers also provided detailed awareness to the public regarding various government welfare schemes and urged eligible beneficiaries to avail themselves of the benefits under schemes like Ayushman Bharat, PM Kisan, KCC, and social security pensions.
The SDM assured that such camps will be organized regularly across all Panchayats of Sub-Division Gool to ensure that no citizen is left unheard. The local population appreciated the efforts of the administration for organizing the camp and providing them a direct platform to interact with officers and get their issues redressed without delay.
