JAMMU, Jun 16: Senior BJP leader and former Sarpanch Adv. Devraj Sharma has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visionary leadership is steering India steadily towards the goal of becoming a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) by 2047, with Jammu and Kashmir emerging as one of the biggest beneficiaries of the transformative policies and development-oriented governance introduced over the past decade.
Addressing party workers and local residents, Sharma stated that the Prime Minister’s commitment to inclusive growth, good governance, transparency, and empowerment has laid a strong foundation for a self-reliant and prosperous India. He said that under PM Modi’s leadership, the country has witnessed remarkable progress in infrastructure development, digital transformation, economic reforms, social welfare initiatives, and national security.“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has provided a clear roadmap for making India a developed nation by 2047. His vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas’ is not merely a slogan but a governing philosophy that is bringing positive change to every corner of the country,” Sharma said.
Referring specifically to Jammu and Kashmir, Sharma observed that the Union Territory has undergone unprecedented transformation in recent years. He said massive investments in road connectivity, railway expansion, healthcare, education, tourism, power infrastructure, and rural development have accelerated the pace of progress and opened new opportunities for the youth.The former Sarpanch noted that several flagship schemes of the Central Government, including PM Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, Ayushman Bharat, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, Ujjwala Yojana, and various employment-generation programmes, have significantly improved the quality of life of people across urban and rural areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
Sharma further said that the expansion of highways, construction of modern tunnels, strengthening of border infrastructure, and rapid digitization of public services have enhanced connectivity and governance while boosting economic activities in the region.“Today, Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing a new era of peace, stability, development, and investment. The benefits of government schemes are reaching the grassroots level without discrimination, ensuring that every section of society becomes a partner in the journey towards a developed India,” he remarked.
Adv. Sharma emphasized that the youth of Jammu and Kashmir are playing a crucial role in realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat through entrepreneurship, innovation, skill development, and active participation in nation-building initiatives. He urged young people to take advantage of the opportunities being created under various Central Government programmes and contribute towards making India a global leader.Highlighting India’s growing stature on the international stage, Sharma said that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the country has emerged as a strong and respected voice in global affairs while maintaining rapid economic growth and technological advancement.
Calling upon citizens to actively participate in the nation’s developmental journey, Sharma said that achieving the dream of Viksit Bharat by 2047 requires collective effort, public participation, and continued commitment to the principles of good governance and inclusive development.
