INDIA Bloc has no vision, only obsession with criticising PM Modi: Bali Bhagat

JAMMU, Jun 11: Senior BJP leader and former Minister Bali Bhagat today launched a sharp attack on the INDIA bloc, accusing the opposition alliance of lacking a constructive agenda for the country and surviving solely on criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Bali Bhagat said that the recent INDIA bloc meeting once again exposed the alliance’s internal contradictions and absence of a coherent roadmap for India’s future. He remarked that instead of presenting policies on employment, infrastructure, economic growth, national security and social welfare, the opposition remains united only by its opposition to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Reports from the INDIA bloc meeting indicated visible differences among alliance partners, with regional parties and Left leaders raising concerns over Congress’ functioning and coordination within the alliance.

“The INDIA bloc has become a platform for political negativity. They have no vision document, no development agenda and no roadmap for Viksit Bharat. Their only common programme appears to be abusing and criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi every day,” he said.

Bhagat stated that while the opposition is busy indulging in political attacks, the Modi government has completed twelve years of transformative governance marked by decisive reforms, welfare delivery, infrastructure expansion and economic growth. He cited landmark initiatives such as Digital India, UPI expansion, GST reforms, infrastructure development, welfare schemes for the poor, and major national decisions that have reshaped India’s development trajectory.

Referring to Prime Minister Modi becoming India’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister, he said the achievement reflects the trust reposed in him by the people of the country across three consecutive mandates. Prime Minister Modi recently surpassed the record of Jawaharlal Nehru to become the longest-serving elected Prime Minister in India’s history with 4,399 days in office.

“Pandit Nehru led the nation in a different era, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set new benchmarks in governance, development, transparency and service delivery. Under his leadership, welfare benefits are reaching the last person in the queue without discrimination, corruption has been curbed through technology-driven governance, and India has emerged as a respected global power,” he said.

Bali further asserted that Modi’s model of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’ has strengthened the foundations of good governance and accelerated India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation.

He said the people of India are witnessing the difference between a government focused on delivery and an opposition focused on disruption. “While Prime Minister Modi is working for a Viksit Bharat and setting new milestones in development and good governance, the INDIA bloc continues to remain trapped in negativity and political opportunism,” he added.

He expressed confidence that the people of the country would continue to support leadership that delivers results, strengthens national pride and works tirelessly for the welfare of every citizen.
