JAMMU, Mar 23: Freedom Fighters Memorial Association (FFMA) organised a function at Maheshpura Chowk here to remember and paying floral tributes to the martyrs who were hanged on March 23 in 1931.
While paying tributes to Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev amidst raising of patriotic slogans, Rajiv Mahajan, Chairman FFMA, highlighted the life history of Shaheed Bhagat Singh and his associates, who fought for the freedom of the mother land.
He said that young generations should get inspiration from the sacrifices of these three martyrs and similar others, who left luxuries of life and did not hesitate to face the bullets for the sake of mother land.
He added that India will never forget the supreme sacrifices of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, who were just in their young ages when raised the voice of revolt against the British rule and faced many atrocities but did not deviate from their pledge of serving the motherland.
Besides Ved Gandotra, others who paid tributes to freedom fighters, included S.S Bhalwal (President, FFMA), Karnail Chand Thakur (General Secretary), Pritam Sharma, Garu Ram (Vice Presidents), Prabhat Kapahi (Office Secretary), Shubham Abrol and others.
