JAMMU, Oct 28: On the auspicious occasion of Karwa Chauth, Movement Kalki extended warm greetings to women, married couples and families across Jammu and Kashmir and the country, wishing them happiness, prosperity, good health and harmony.
Sapna Hindu, General Secretary of Movement Kalki, conveyed her heartfelt wishes to women observing the festival and said that Karwa Chauth represents love, devotion, faith, commitment and the emotional bond between husband and wife.
She said Indian festivals are deeply rooted in the country’s rich cultural heritage and traditions. Karwa Chauth holds special significance in Indian society, as married women observe the fast with devotion and pray for the well-being and long life of their husbands. The festival also highlights the importance of relationships, mutual understanding and strong family bonds.
Sapna Hindu emphasised that the true foundation of a successful marriage lies in mutual respect, trust, affection, loyalty and shared responsibilities. While women observe the festival with dedication, their contributions and sacrifices in strengthening families should also be recognised and appreciated.
She further stated that women play a vital role not only in nurturing families but also in education, professional life, social development, cultural preservation and nation-building. Appealing to the younger generation, she urged them to remain connected with India’s cultural traditions and values. She said modernisation and progress should not mean forgetting one’s roots, adding that society must preserve its positive traditions while moving towards a more inclusive and progressive future.
