JAMMU, Oct 25: Sadguru Shri Madhu Paramhans Ji Maharaj, while addressing devotees at Mishriwala, Jammu, emphasised that the true spiritual Name (Naam) described in the teachings of saints can only be attained through a complete and enlightened Sadguru.
Explaining the spiritual significance of Naam, Maharaj Ji said that it is not something that can be acquired merely through reading books or writing scriptures. Rather, it is a living spiritual reality that, according to the teachings of saints, enables the soul to transcend the cycle of worldly existence and return to its true abode.
He explained that without the guidance of a true Sadguru, a person may remain unaware of the deeper meaning of spiritual life and the distinction between right and wrong. Attaining Naam, he said, awakens inner wisdom, discernment, truthfulness, forgiveness and compassion, helping individuals lead a more conscious and meaningful life.
Maharaj Ji further explained that the divine Naam serves as an inner guide, inspiring individuals to distinguish between virtuous and wrongful actions. He said that through spiritual practice and the grace of the Master, a person gradually develops a deeper connection with the Supreme Reality and gains clarity in life’s decisions.
Describing Naam as a source of spiritual protection, he encouraged devotees to follow the inner guidance awakened through spiritual realisation. He explained that this connection helps individuals remain mindful of their actions and move towards a life guided by truth, compassion and righteousness.
Emphasising the importance of Saar Naam, or the essential divine Name, Maharaj Ji said that a true Sadguru is one who imparts this ultimate spiritual knowledge. According to his teachings, the attainment of Saar Naam is central to the purification of the soul and the realisation of its spiritual purpose.
He further highlighted that the saints have used strong spiritual expressions to underline the importance of divine Naam in human life, teaching that a life disconnected from this inner spiritual essence remains deprived of its highest purpose.
Maharaj Ji’s discourse encouraged devotees to recognise the importance of spiritual guidance, cultivate positive values and seek a deeper understanding of the purpose of human existence. The gathering concluded with an emphasis on devotion, self-reflection and the pursuit of spiritual awareness.
