JAMMU / SAMALKHA, Oct 23: The 79th Annual Nirankari Sant Samagam commenced on Friday at Samalkha with devotion and spiritual enthusiasm, bringing together millions of devotees from India and abroad for the four-day gathering scheduled from October 23 to 26.
The inaugural day was marked by the divine presence of Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj and Nirankari Rajpita Ramit Ji, who conveyed the message of spiritual awakening, humanity, selfless service and universal brotherhood.
Addressing devotees during the Message to Humanity, Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj emphasised that true spiritual awakening comes through the realisation of the Divine and its reflection in everyday life. She said the purpose of such gatherings was to inspire individuals to remain spiritually conscious and approach every moment with awareness and gratitude.
Satguru Mata Ji urged people to fulfil their responsibilities towards their families, society and nation with sincerity while becoming responsible global citizens. She stressed the importance of rising above differences of caste, language, region and temperament to embrace every human being with love, respect and a sense of belonging.
She further explained that spirituality should not remain limited to thoughts or outward appearances but must be reflected in conduct, behaviour and social responsibilities. Accepting the Divine Will with contentment and gratitude, she said, was central to a spiritually meaningful life.
At the venue, Satguru Mata Ji and Nirankari Rajpita Ji received a warm welcome from office-bearers of the Sant Nirankari Mandal. They were subsequently taken in a flower-decorated open palanquin through the Samagam pavilion to the main stage.
More than 600 students of the Nirankari Institute of Music and Arts presented Bharatanatyam performances and melodious welcome songs, adding cultural splendour to the occasion.
A special press conference was also organised before the main address, during which media representatives were briefed about the Samagam’s arrangements, spiritual philosophy and public-welfare initiatives.
The opening day reflected the gathering’s central message of love, harmony, gratitude and unity among people beyond social and cultural differences.
