DODA, Jun 1: In a moment of immense pride for the Chenab Valley region, Dr Talha Latief Tantry has been selected as Assistant Professor in Political Science (International Relations) at Nalanda University, one of India’s premier international institutions of higher learning.
The achievement has been widely celebrated in Furqan Abad Ghat and adjoining areas, where residents, educationists and community members have expressed happiness over the success of the young academician.
Dr Talha is the grandson of Late Abdul Gani Tantry and Sakina Begum and the son of Abdul Latief Tantry and Hasina Begum. He received his primary education at Royal Academy Ghat before completing his higher secondary studies at Government Higher Secondary School Ghat.
He pursued his Bachelor’s degree from GGM Science College and later obtained both his Master’s degree and Ph.D. in Political Science from Central University of Jammu. Demonstrating exceptional academic excellence, Dr Talha also qualified the UGC-NET examination twice, reflecting his scholarly aptitude and commitment to higher education and research.
Recognized for his dedication to teaching, research and intellectual engagement in the fields of Political Science and International Relations, Dr Talha’s appointment is being viewed as a significant milestone for the region. His success serves as an inspiration for students and aspiring scholars, highlighting the importance of perseverance, hard work and academic commitment in achieving excellence.
