JAMMU, Oct 17: The Kindergarten Wing of Heritage School celebrated Dussehra with great enthusiasm, spreading the timeless message of the triumph of good over evil. The occasion was graced by Sunil Gupta, Chairman; Akash Pradhan, Principal; Rashmi Thakur, Vice-Principal; Hemneet Kaur, Headmistress.
The celebration was further honoured by the presence of special guests, Sameer Sharma, DIG, Jammu and Kashmir Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (JK4C), and Bhupinder Singh Sasan, Investigating Officer, Cyber Police Station, Jammu/JK4C, and an acclaimed visual artist.
The highlight was the symbolic burning of Ravana’s effigy, representing the victory of righteousness over evil. The little learners brought the Ramayana to life through their portrayals of Ram – Vihaan Singh Jamwal (UKG-A), Sita – Jaisvi Singh (UKG-B), Lakshman – Avyukt Jamwal (UKG-D), and Hanuman – Sushrut Sharma (UKG-C).
The children also participated in “Burst the Bad Habit” balloon activity, reflecting on habits they wished to overcome and resolving to embrace kindness, honesty, respect and good behaviour. The activity reinforced the message that Dussehra is not only about burning Ravana’s effigy but also about overcoming negativity within ourselves.
The celebration concluded by reaffirming the importance of nurturing moral values and inspiring young learners to choose goodness and righteousness in their everyday lives.
