JAMMU, Oct 17: Movement Kalki has launched a signature campaign demanding that Gau Mata be accorded the status of National Mother of India, with the initiative being led by the organisation’s General Secretary, Sapna Hindu.
The campaign aims to mobilise public support, raise awareness about cow protection and draw the attention of the Central Government to the demand. During the initiative, members of Movement Kalki interacted with people, collected signatures and encouraged citizens to participate in the campaign through peaceful and democratic means.
Speaking on the occasion, Sapna Hindu said that Gau Mata holds a special place in India’s cultural heritage and Sanatan traditions. She highlighted the cow’s association with compassion, nourishment, service and respect for living beings.
She said the signature campaign was intended not only to collect public support but also to create awareness and provide citizens with an opportunity to express their views through constitutional means.
