JAMMU, Oct 11: The cadets of 8 J&K Girls Bn NCC( A coy) PSPS GCW Gandhinagar Jammu observed World Mental Health Day by sharing thought-provoking awareness messages on social media, spreading the message that mental health matters and every voice deserves to be heard.
The initiative aimed to sensitize cadets about the importance of mental well-being and encourage open conversations about emotional struggles. It sought to break the ice surrounding mental health and dispel the myths that often sweep such issues under the carpet.
The cadets emphasised that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness, and that a problem shared is a problem halved. They encouraged everyone to lend a listening ear, extend a helping hand, and stand shoulder to shoulder with those facing mental health challenges.
Dr. Kulvinder Kour, Principal of the College, appreciated cadets and Mentor Lt. Suman Bala for this digital initiative, where the cadets reaffirmed that mental health is not a taboo but a priority, inspiring society to break the stigma and spread empathy, kindness, and hope.
