BUDGAM, Oct 11 (Agencies): A 36-year-old man from Daharmuna village in Budgam district, who had been reported missing in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) since October 6, has been found safe, his family said.
The man, identified as Jamsheed Ali, son of Ali Mohammad Wani, had gone missing after informing his wife that he had a flight ticket to return home on October 6.
His family had grown concerned after he failed to arrive, prompting his brother to contact the company where he was employed. The company reportedly informed the family that he had been absent from work for two days.
His brother subsequently lodged a complaint with Budgam Police and emailed the Indian Embassy, seeking assistance in tracing him.
The family has confirmed that Jamsheed has been found safe.
The family expressed gratitude to Greater Kashmir for publishing the report about his disappearance, saying Jamsheed saw the news report himself and contacted his family around midnight.
According to Jamsheed’s brother, he had been stopped by the authorities at the embassy during the boarding process due to documentation-related issues.
