Yudhvir Sethi assures lift facility at Jain Clinic, says patients’ convenience is a priority

JAMMU, Oct 10: Taking note of the difficulties faced by patients visiting Shri Aatam Bhallav Jain Clinic, MLA Yudhvir Sethi has assured that a lift facility will be provided at the clinic through his Constituency Development Fund (CDF), bringing relief to patients, senior citizens and other people who find it difficult to access the upper floors.

The assurance came after a delegation led by Arun Sethi, District President of BJP OBC Morcha, met MLA Yudhvir Sethi and apprised him of the long-standing problems faced by patients at Shri Aatam Bhallav Jain Clinic. The delegation highlighted the difficulties encountered by elderly patients, persons with limited mobility and other needy people while climbing stairs to reach the upper floors of the clinic.

The delegation included Pradeep Jain (Chairman), Varinder Jain (Vice Chairman), Preetul Jain (General Secretary), Deepak Jain (Secretary) and other members of the Jain community. The representatives requested the MLA to take necessary steps to address the issue and provide a practical solution that would make the clinic more accessible and patient-friendly.

Taking the matter seriously, Yudhvir Sethi assured the delegation that efforts would be made to install a lift at the clinic through the CDF fund. He said that improving accessibility at healthcare facilities was important to ensure that patients, particularly senior citizens and those suffering from physical difficulties, could receive medical assistance without unnecessary hardship.

Appreciating the initiative taken by Arun Sethi, the MLA said that bringing public problems to the attention of elected representatives and working towards their resolution was an important part of public service. He commended Arun Sethi for taking up an issue directly connected with the convenience and well-being of patients and for making efforts to find a solution through proper coordination.

Speaking on the occasion, Yudhvir Sethi said that BJP OBC Morcha Jammu and Kashmir had been playing an active role in social welfare and public service. He said the organisation was consistently working to reach different sections of society through initiatives such as blood donation camps, awareness campaigns on organ donation, service activities at orphanages, assistance to blind schools and support for needy families.

He added that the role of a social organisation should not be limited to raising issues but should also involve making sincere efforts to find solutions to the problems faced by ordinary people. According to him, initiatives that provide relief to patients, support vulnerable sections and improve access to essential facilities reflect the true spirit of public service.

Yudhvir Sethi further observed that healthcare facilities must be accessible and convenient for everyone, irrespective of age or physical condition. He said that even a basic facility such as a lift could make a significant difference in the lives of elderly patients and people with mobility challenges. He emphasised that public representatives, social organisations and community institutions should work together to identify local problems and address them through practical measures.

Braham Jyot Satti, State President of BJP OBC Morcha, Jammu and Kashmir, appreciated the initiative through his message and said that serving people and addressing their genuine concerns remained among the organisation’s key priorities. He stated that the OBC Morcha was committed to working beyond organisational activities and contributing meaningfully to society by taking up issues affecting the common people.

Satti said that the efforts made by Arun Sethi and the delegation reflected a positive approach towards community service. He added that the organisation would continue to encourage its district and local units to remain connected with people, understand their difficulties and take up matters concerning public welfare with the appropriate authorities. He expressed hope that the proposed lift facility would provide considerable relief to patients and make access to the clinic easier and more convenient.

He further stressed that small but meaningful interventions often bring lasting relief to people who need support the most. He said that the OBC Morcha would continue to work with a spirit of dedication, cooperation and responsibility to address public concerns and strengthen its commitment to social welfare.

Arun Sethi expressed gratitude to MLA Yudhvir Sethi for giving a patient hearing to the delegation and assuring support for the proposed lift facility. In his vote of thanks, he appreciated the MLA’s positive response and concern for the difficulties faced by patients visiting Shri Atma Bhallav Jain Clinic.

Arun Sethi also thanked the representatives of the Jain community, including Pradeep Jain, Varinder Jain, Preetul Jain and Deepak Jain, for joining the delegation and collectively raising the issue. He said that the initiative was aimed at ensuring greater convenience for patients, particularly elderly and physically challenged individuals, and expressed hope that the proposed facility would be implemented at the earliest.
