Army conducts digital literacy programmes for school students in Poonch

POONCH, Oct 10: The Indian Army conducted Digital Literacy Programmes across schools in Poonch with the aim of equipping students with essential knowledge and skills for safe and responsible use of digital platforms.

The sessions focused on digital safety, online privacy, responsible use of social media and identification of misleading or false content. Through interactive discussions and practical examples, students were encouraged to think critically, verify information before sharing it and adopt safe online practices while using digital devices and social media platforms.

The programme also highlighted the importance of protecting personal information, recognising suspicious online activity and maintaining responsible behaviour in the digital space.

Teachers were also sensitised to their role as digital guides and mentors, enabling them to support students in navigating the online environment safely and responsibly.

The initiative aimed to enhance digital awareness, critical thinking and responsible online behaviour among young students. It reflected the Indian Army’s continued commitment towards community welfare, youth empowerment and education, while preparing young minds to become informed, responsible and digitally aware citizens.
