DOORU, Sep 14: The Bharat Tibet Sahyog Manch (BTSM) continued its grassroots outreach programme in Dooru Sadiwara, where State Vice President and In-charge of Kashmir, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Abdul Majeed Sheikh interacted with local residents and youth.
During the interaction, several young people joined BTSM and expressed their support for the organisation’s activities, vision and leadership. Their participation reflected growing interest among youth in constructive social engagement, cultural awareness and development-oriented initiatives.
Residents also raised a number of local concerns, particularly relating to employment opportunities, development, basic facilities, education and greater opportunities for young people.
The BTSM leadership listened to the issues raised by residents and emphasised the importance of maintaining regular communication with local communities and giving due attention to their genuine concerns.
BTSM works to create awareness about India’s civilisational, cultural and spiritual relationship with Tibet while promoting peace, compassion, cultural preservation, national integration and social responsibility. The organisation also seeks to encourage the younger generation to understand India’s Buddhist and Himalayan heritage and contribute positively to society.
Dr. Vivek Sharma, State President, BTSM J&K and Ladakh, said the enthusiastic participation of youth in Dooru Sadiwara was encouraging.
“The enthusiasm shown by the youth reflects their desire to participate in meaningful social activities and contribute to the development of society,” he said, adding that young people are important partners in building a stronger and more harmonious society.
Dr. Sharma said BTSM would continue to connect youth with India’s rich civilisational and cultural heritage and encourage their constructive participation in social and national activities.
He also emphasised that development should remain people-oriented and that genuine concerns of local communities must be heard and addressed.
The Dooru Sadiwara programme reaffirmed BTSM’s commitment to grassroots engagement, social harmony, cultural preservation and greater participation of youth in nation-building initiatives.
