KISHTWAR, Sep 4: Sunil Sharma extended heartfelt greetings and best wishes to followers of Sanatan Dharma and to people across the country on the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami.
In his message, Sharma prayed to Lord Shri Krishna for a bright and prosperous future for India and appealed that citizens continue to live together in an atmosphere of peace, harmony, brotherhood and mutual respect. He said the Bhagavad Gita — the timeless spiritual scripture imparted by Lord Krishna — contains teachings that guide human conduct and promote the welfare and upliftment of society.
Sharma described Lord Krishna as an eternal symbol of truth, service, forgiveness, compassion, non-violence, penance and perseverance. He observed that despite enduring hardships, Lord Krishna continually guided humanity toward truth and righteousness and inspired people to work for the welfare of others.
Calling Janmashtami a festival of devotion, love and spiritual joy, Sharma noted that the occasion is being celebrated across the country with great enthusiasm by children, youth, elders, women and devotees. He highlighted special local observances in Kishtwar, where jhankis depicting Lord Shri Krishna, Mata Radha and Rukmini Mata are being taken out from the historic Shri Gauri Shankar Temple. He added that around 11 religious tableaux are participating in the procession, which will culminate at the Shri Ram Temple.
Sharma once again conveyed his warm wishes to everyone on Shri Krishna Janmashtami and prayed that Lord Krishna’s blessings bring peace, prosperity, happiness and harmony to every household and contribute to the welfare of all humanity.
