JAMMU, Sep 2: Jodhamal Public School, under the aegis of the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH), Jammu Chapter, hosted the INTACH Heritage Quiz 2026, bringing together students from leading schools across Jammu to promote awareness of India’s rich cultural heritage.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from 12 schools—Mount Litera, Army Public School Jammu Cantt, Presentation Convent School, Army Public School Nagrota, Model Academy, Army Public School BD Bari, International Delhi Public School RS Pura, Indian Public School, Kidzee Kathua, MV International School, Jodhamal Public School, Army Public School Akhnoor and Army Public School Damana. The participants showcased impressive knowledge, confidence and awareness of India’s history, culture, traditions, monuments and personalities.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Arvind Kotwal, was the Chief Guest. Prof. A.K. Raina, Former HOD, Department of Environmental Sciences, University of Jammu; K.K. Sharma; Dr. Rajesh Sharma; and Dr. Satwant Singh also graced the occasion.
The quiz was conducted in two phases, beginning with a written preliminary round followed by an engaging stage round. The final round featured segments on “Your State, Your City and INTACH,” with visual rounds adding excitement to the competition.
Jodhamal Public School delivered an exceptional performance, securing both the first and second positions, while Presentation Convent School bagged the third position.
The event was organised by Deepali Sharma, Bhawna Madaan, Bhavna Rohmetra, Anjali Gupta and Namrata Sharma, CCA Senior Coordinator. The distinguished guests appreciated INTACH and Jodhamal Public School for providing students a meaningful platform to learn about and appreciate India’s cultural heritage.
