AKHNOOR, Aug 31: VOW Club (Regd.), Gandharwan Akhnoor, organised a three-day children’s theatre workshop at Little Pearls Play Way School, Mandrian, with the objective of nurturing theatrical skills, creativity and confidence among young children.
Ravinder Sharma, Managing Director of the school, was the chief guest, while Komal Sharma, social activist and poetess, was the guest of honour. Principal Preeti Sharma presided over the programme.
The workshop was conducted under the direction of Archna Sharma and Preeti Sharma, play directors, with Jasbir Singh extending his cooperation. During the workshop, children were introduced to the basic techniques of theatre, with emphasis on regular practice, dedication and effective expression.
A patriotic play titled “Operation Sindoor” was prepared by the children during the workshop and its final presentation was staged at the premises of Little Pearls Play Way School, Mandrian, Akhnoor. The performance received appreciation from the audience, including the chief guest and other dignitaries.
The school head and staff extended full support for the successful conduct of the workshop. Appreciating the children’s performance, the audience called for organising more such theatre workshops through VOW Club to provide young minds with an opportunity to develop theatrical skills from an early age.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Balwinder Singh Pawar, President, VOW Club, who welcomed the guests and appreciated the team for supporting the staging of the patriotic play. He said such initiatives help inspire children as well as the wider audience.
Archna Sharma conducted the proceedings, while the chief guest and guest of honour also addressed the gathering and appreciated the efforts of the organisers and young performers.
Adv. Naresh Kumar Raina, Legal Advisor, VOW Club, presented the vote of thanks. Certificates and mementos were distributed among the participants and guests. The programme concluded with high tea.
