Mahajan Sabha Gandhi Nagar organises parents-children meet

JAMMU, Aug 30: Mahajan Sabha Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, organised its first-ever Parents and Children Together Meet at Justice Mehr Chand Mahajan Park, Gandhi Nagar, with the objective of making the marriage matchmaking process easier for families and prospective couples.

The initiative was organised under the guidance of Jugal Mahajan, Chief Patron, Mahajan Sabha, and P.C. Gupta, General Secretary, who took the lead in bringing parents and their children together on a common platform for the purpose of facilitating suitable marriage matches.

A large number of parents and youngsters participated in the meeting, which was described by the organisers as a successful first step towards creating a more convenient and direct matchmaking platform within the community.

Speaking on the occasion, Jugal Mahajan said that families are facing several difficulties in the present scenario while searching for suitable marriage matches. He stressed the need to explore alternative and practical approaches to make the process easier.

 “We have moved our first step in this direction,” Mahajan said, adding that such initiatives could provide families with an opportunity to interact directly and explore suitable matches in a comfortable environment.

The parents who attended the meeting appreciated the initiative and requested the Mahajan Sabha to organise more such gatherings in the future. Responding to the demand, Jugal Mahajan assured the participants that similar meetings would be organised whenever required.

K.B. Jandial, Retd. IAS; Prem Gupta, IGP (Retd.); Bhanu Mahajan, former Corporator; Ravi Rohmetra, noted columnist and social activist; and Kailash Langer, former General Secretary, Akhil Bhartiya Mahajan Shiromani Sabha, also spoke on the occasion. They appreciated the initiative and expressed happiness over the organisation of such a meaningful gathering.

They urged the Mahajan Sabha to continue organising similar meetings to provide families and youngsters with a common platform for interaction and matchmaking.

The organisers said the encouraging response from parents and youngsters reflected the usefulness of the initiative and expressed hope that such community-based platforms would help make the traditional marriage matchmaking process more accessible and convenient.
