JAMMU, Jul 27: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Joint Secretary M.K. Rana on Monday alleged that the BJP-led Central government has failed to fulfil its promises of development made to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that despite repeated assurances, there is little visible development on the ground.
Addressing a public meeting at Panchayat Amb Block, Mathwar, organised by Gouri Shankar and Gopal Dass, M.K. Rana highlighted the developmental initiatives being undertaken under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. He said that the present government is committed to ensuring speedy development across Jammu and Kashmir for the welfare of the people.
Referring to the recent floods and landslides in Rajouri and Poonch, Rana said that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah personally monitored the situation from day one. He added that Honble Ministers immediately visited the affected areas to assess the damage and ensure timely relief and assistance to the affected families.
On the occasion, several BJP workers joined the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference in the presence of M.K. Rana. Those who joined the party included Charan Dass, Pawan Kumar, Ricky Kumar, and others.
Welcoming the new entrants into the party fold, Rana expressed confidence that their joining would further strengthen the National Conference at the grassroots level and help expand the party’s outreach among the people.
