SRINAGAR, Jul 25: The Jammu & Kashmir Cycle Polo Association (JKCPA) has announced the tentative schedule for the District-Level Cycle Polo Championships across various districts of Jammu & Kashmir as part of its 2026–27 Activity Calendar.
According to the proposed schedule, the District Bandipora Championship will be held on 31 July and 1 August 2026, followed by the District Pulwama Championship on 4 and 5 August 2026. The District Ganderbal Championship is scheduled for 7 and 8 August 2026, while the District Srinagar Championship will conclude the district-level events on 11 and 12 August 2026.
Speaking on the occasion, the General Secretary of the J&K Cycle Polo Association said that after the successful completion of the district-level championships, the Association will organise a pre-coaching camp for both boys and girls. The camp will help prepare the selected players for the Cycle Polo Federation Cup 2026–27, which is scheduled to be held in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, in September 2026.
The Association expressed confidence that the district championships and the subsequent coaching camp will provide an ideal platform for identifying emerging talent, enhancing the skills of young players, and strengthening the development of cycle polo across the Union Territory.
