JAMMU, Jul 3: BJP OBC Morcha Jammu & Kashmir celebrated the birthday of its National President, Rajya Sabha MP and Member of the BJP Parliamentary Board and Central Election Committee, Dr. K. Laxman, by organising a social service initiative and extending support to a financially underprivileged family for the marriage of their daughter.
As part of the programme, the Morcha provided essential household items and marriage-related necessities to the family, reflecting the spirit of “Seva Hi Sangathan” and reaffirming its commitment to serving the underprivileged sections of society.
The assistance was arranged with the support of Vinay Gupta, Urban Local Bodies Convener, BJP District Jammu North. The items were handed over by Sunny Sangotra, State General Secretary, BJP OBC Morcha; Ram Pal, State Treasurer, BJP OBC Morcha; Ashok Kumar, District Vice President, BJP Jammu South; and Girdhari Lal, Bahu Mandal President, BJP OBC Morcha.
Speaking on the occasion, BJP OBC Morcha J&K President Braham Jyot Satti paid tribute to Dr. K. Laxman’s leadership, describing him as a dedicated leader committed to the welfare of the Other Backward Classes (OBCs) and the organisational growth of the Bharatiya Janata Party across the country.
Satti also expressed gratitude to Vinay Gupta for his wholehearted support in arranging the material distributed to the needy family. He appreciated Gupta’s proactive role in the humanitarian initiative and said such selfless contributions strengthen the spirit of public service while inspiring others to participate in welfare activities.
Emphasising the importance of social responsibility, Satti said every financially capable individual should come forward to support economically weaker families and contribute towards building a compassionate and inclusive society. He remarked that celebrations become truly meaningful when they bring hope and happiness to those in need.
Reaffirming the BJP OBC Morcha’s commitment to public welfare, Satti said the organisation has consistently stood beside underprivileged families and will continue to undertake humanitarian initiatives aimed at supporting deserving people during times of need. He added that the Morcha remains committed to ensuring that no needy family feels neglected and will continue working in the spirit of service and social upliftment.
